Corporate and Foundation Gifts
Grants or gifts from corporations, foundations, local businesses and community groups make it possible for the Auburn Public Library to keep our programs free and accessible to all of the people of our communities. These grants also help us improve and maintain our state-of-the-art building and information technology system to ensure a comfortable, positive experience for all library users.

The Bank of America awarded the Auburn Public Library a $5,000 grant to purchase software that manages the overdue accounts and unreturned materials.
Stephen & Tabitha King Foundation
The Stephen & Tabitha King Foundation awarded the Auburn Public Library a $9,000 grant to support our teen programs. This grant was used to improve our teen services in the Teen Space.
The P&G Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation
The Procter & Gamble Corporation awarded the Auburn Public Library a $20,000 grant to create a Teen Space on the second floor of the library. Funds were used to build a space for our exciting, year-round teen programs. The Foundation also awarded the Library a $10,000 grant to construct and equip the Create! Media Lab.
The L & A Fund
The L&A Fund awarded the Auburn Public Library a $10,000 grant to be used over a period of five years through 2014 for purchasing new children’s, teen and adult books.
The Auburn-Lewiston Kiwanis Club
The Auburn-Lewiston Kiwanis Club has supported the Auburn Public Library for nearly 20 years – including the popular family museum pass program and the Summer Reading book program.
Mechanics Savings Bank donated $500 to purchase books used as rewards for the APL young adult reading program during the summer months.
Best Buy Children's Foundation
The Best Buy Children's Foundation awarded APL an $8,000 grant to support the Create! Media Teen Workshop Program.
Central Maine Federal Credit Union
Central Maine Federal Credit Union donated $500 to purchase books used as rewards for the APL children's summer reading program.
The Fletcher Foundation
The Fletcher Foundation annually contributes to APL as part of its awards from the proceeds of Emily's Run, a 5K race in memory of Emily Fletcher.
