The Create! Media Lab opened in October 2012, (made possible by generous grants from Procter & Gamble and Best Buy), and is located on the 2nd floor of the Library. It is open to Auburn Public Library and Lewiston Public Library cardholders ages 13 and up. (Children 10-12 may use the room with adult supervision.) The lab houses three new Apple desktop computers (iMac 27”). Each computer is designated to assist users in designing digital media – from photography, to filmmaking to making music. The Lab is equipped with a scanner, an electronic keyboard, and a green screen. Also available for use in the lab only is a camcorder, a digital camera, two microphones, a keyboard, and a guitar plug in.
