Finding Free EBooks
There are many free ebooks on the web.  Most of them will be older books and classics whose copyrights have expired.  You will also find some current titles available, and sample chapters of popular upcoming books.

• Looking for a particular title? The Online Book Page http://onlinebooks.library.upenn.edu/ will tell you where your author or title can be found.
• Baen Free Library http://baen.org/library/ offers free science fiction titles.

• The kindleworld blog has developed a searche to find free non-classic kindle books on Amazon.  Many of these titles are short stories or sample chapters, but some are full books.  Amazon also lists the top 100 free kindle books on the kindle page. Downloading Free EBook Apps
Don’t have an ebook reader?  You can download software for many popular ebook reading programs to your computer and to some mobile devices.

If you have an ebook reader, you will need to know the format compatible with your device.  Many free books are in the EPUB format.  Although this will not work on Kindles, you can easily change books from EPUB to kindle-friendly MOBI format using Calibre software.  And it’s free!
